Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Mathematics Teacher with a focus on Algebra 2 instruction. This teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an engaging instructional program for High School Mathematics. The candidate will perform all duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver effective Algebra 2 lesson plans tailored to student learning needs.
- Create a positive, student-centered classroom environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and lifelong learning.
- Integrate instructional technologies, including iPads, to enhance the learning experience.
- Regularly assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and school initiatives.
- Engage with students beyond the classroom through co-curricular activities and events.
- Uphold and model the mission, teachings, and values of the Roman Catholic Church.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Valid Florida Department of Education (FDOE) Certificate in Mathematics or related field (Grades 9-12).
- Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a passion for fostering confident, lifelong learners.
- Experience creating engaging, student-centered learning environments.
- Proficiency in instructional technologies, including the use of iPads in the classroom.
- Interest and experience in participating in co-curricular activities.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills with a clear and professional speaking voice.
- Strong presentation skills and a professional demeanor.
- Full commitment to the mission, vision, and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
